10 sessions – 4 before birth, six across baby's first year. Here's what each one covers.
Pain relief options and common interventions explained in plain language, cesarean basics, a logistics checklist, and the comfort measures that actually help.
The real stages of labor, how you'll know when to go in, and what your partner's role actually looks like on the day.
The first four weeks demystified – sleep, feeding basics, and an introduction to lactation support before baby arrives.
Physical and emotional recovery for the birthing parent, prepping your partner and relationship, and building the support "village" you'll lean on.
How healing is actually going, lactation and feeding support, what the first weeks with a newborn really look like, and where baby should be developmentally at 1–2 months.
Continued feeding guidance including pumping, pelvic floor and physical recovery, a maternal mental health check-in, milestones at 2–3 months, and honest conversations about postpartum sexuality and your relationship.
What's normal (and what's a regression), continued feeding guidance, milestones at 3–4 months, easing back to work, and building a freezer stash.
Continued feeding guidance, return-to-work support, childcare transitions, and developmental milestones at 6–9 months.
Teething, continued feeding guidance, a parental well-being check-in, and developmental milestones at 9–12 months.
First-year milestones, planning for weaning, breastfeeding beyond age one, prepping for the toddler transition, and a closing reflection with your cohort.
To avoid overwhelm, Roost's curriculum is need-to-know by design – delivering the right information at the right moment (and not all at once). But some topics may require out-of-session attention: a longer conversation with your partner, or space to reflect on your own. That's why each session includes concise, optional handout(s) with additional resources and guides for digging deeper. One example: an exercise to help you and your partner name your strengths and divide post-birth responsibilities in a way that feels realistic and good to you both.
